Hi,

I am using Word-XP, Dutch version.
I have to edit a document that was made by someone else, and his use of
styles was a bit messy. I planned to use the feature that enables you to
select all instances of a particular style. But the button is greyed out,
and the drop-down list says: 'Select all: not in use' (or something lik that
in Dutch).

How did this get turned off? And better still: how do I get it back?

You have to turn on the "Keep track of formatting" option. (It's on the
Tools > Options Edit tab in the English version.

Thanks very much,

this just proves I was right in begging our systems administrator to grant
me access to newsgroups.

Jeroen.
