I have a large number of doc files created with the
normal template, and I want to update these using a
custom template that I created. I want the
headers/footers to update to those stored in the new
template, but can't figure out how to accomplish this
(when I attach the new template, all of the styles
update, but headers/footers stay the same as in the
original doc files.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Brian H

Create a new document based on the new template. Paste the contents of the
old documents (except for the last paragraph mark) into the newly created
documents.
The text contents (including headers/footers) of a newly attached template
do not get inserted into an old document.
For more on the different kinds of templates and locations of templates
folders see http://addbalance.com/usersguide/templates.htm.
