Links in outlook express 6

This is a newsgroup for Microsoft Access Databases. You should ask
this question in an Outlook/Email forum.

Anyways, it is most likely a security setting that is blocking the
links.

First and Last Problem

First and Last do NOT work the way they think you do. I believe they
try to see the first and last records written to disk or something,
but the results are NEVER good. They shouldn't even be an...

Opening a dialog in a more helpful position

If you open the form in Design View, and go to properties, on the
Format tab, there is an option to "Auto Center". Set that to yes and
the form will automatically open to the middle of your screen.

Report footer position

If your report footer is something simple, you could use some VB code
to use the Page Footer as a work around. create a function like:

Function DisplayReportFooter() as string

Note that InStr, the string you searching for comes 2nd, not first.

Including non related text in a report

hmmm, normally it just does one prompt at a time. How is your first
prompt setup? Is it prompting on the query, or actually on the
report?

Query using multiple values from one text box

Well, I don't think it will work by directly passing that textbox
value to the query. The query ends up searching for the actual string
of "Alaska OR Alabama", which of course returns no...

First function returning min

Do not use the aggregate First function. It is not a reliable
function to use, and does not really do what you think does.

Instead, try the aggregate Min function. You can use the Min function
on...

Total not correct in Footer

I don't think you need to use Running Sums here...

Since you are already grouping, using:

=Sum([SalesDep])
Running Sum: No

that should work in the Bank Footer I believe.

Including non related text in a report

Well, if you ever need to know a decision date of a past letter, then
you really should store it in the table. Otherwise, it will only be on
the printed letter.

If that is not an issue for you, you...

Random Sampling

One way to accomplish this, is to create a query that uses the Rnd()
function so that it sorts itself via a random number. Then you can
specify that it only returns the TOP 10 records per each...

Query and date selection

Add Another Field to your query, something like this:
monthdayfield: Format([ReservationDate], "mm/dd")

And then for the criteria:

="11/15" or ="03/31"

I think that will do the trick.

Passing info from unbound option group to table fields

Options Groups only store the selected value. I don't believe you can
reference the individual options like that, only the group/frame
itself.

Option Groups by default will have a name like...

report parameter

The main two places to look would be a textbox on the report, and the
report's recordsource. Maybe the record source query is trying to
reference that report?

Well, I believe Option Groups always store numeric values like that,
so there are 2 choices that come to mind.

In your query (or report), use nested if statements like:

if([gender] = 1, "Male",...

How do I force a memo field to print all text in reports?

Memos on reports can be problematic at times. Most likely it is
truncating down to 255 characters?

Is the report's recordsource a query? Some queries will truncate memo
fields automatically, such...

does the query [qry eoy stages] have any parameters? if so, those
parameters need to be resolved first before you open a recordset on
