hi
not with a formula. formulas return value to the cell in which they reside.
they can not perform actions like move data to other specific cellls. you
would have to have the formulas set up on...

something like this might work for you..

you would only need to dim lr once but would need...

that is your connection, not the SQL.
the SQL will contain your select statement.
perhaps similar to this
select field1, field2, ect from tablename where field1 = criteria

then statement can vary...

cell value is.... less than......0........pick red
for pos number..

i did a simple test and this is working on your example data.
=IF(A1=A2,B1+1,1)
the above assumes that emp ids are in A column and formula is in B column.
it also assumes that emp ids are sorted...
