You don't have to be a religious zealot to be polite. When you go in a
store and ask a question, and a gum chewing body pierced sales associate
sneers at you, it's inappropriate.

On the other hand, I certainly agree that people can be encouraged to
try things out on their own and use the help system (which is quite lame
imo).
