1. If you are using a real-time scanner, no vulnerabilities are there.
2. Ask Norton if they are going to release a version that does not conflict
with Outlook.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Christopher Nara asked:

| I have reviewed a few postings in this discussion area where problems
| were occurring because of a conflict between Outlook 2003 and the
| Norton Antivirus suite. I am experiencing similar problems with
| Outlook 2003. The consensus has been to uninstall Norton and
| re-install it with its email scanning capability disabled. This
| would be fine in an environment that allows this, but how do you get
| both to coexist in an environment that mandates virus scanning of
| email? Is there a patch available that can accomplish this, or are
| we forced to use earlier versions of Norton, or create
| vulnerabilities until one surfaces? Any suggestions concerning this
| matter would be greatly appreciated.
