msnews is the server and public.publisher is a newsgroup on that server.

Some people access the Microsoft newsgroups thru their ISP, which in turn
hits the msnews server. When that happens, you could have differences in
what's posted. Since you are using Windows Live Mail, then you're set up the
way Rob was talking about.
