Take a look at the tutorial on Dynamic PowerPoint. It sounds like you need
to use Custom Shows to "segment" your presentation and then make your menu
bar link to your custom shows. It's on the same page as the Mouse-over
tutorial.

thanks for helping me but I tried and couldn't make it work as I wanted. I
know the way how to do this without using master slide, but I guess there is
a better way to create such a menu bar of highlighted topics while viewing
related slide using master slide especially when you have lots of slides
(e.g. 10 topics and 40slides). If you know how to do that please send me on
email an example of a few slides.
