Default Office 2007 Ultimate will not install on Windows 7 Ultimate

Clearly you're the one under the influence since you didn't pay attention
to
what I posted.

First, there is no "Add/Remove Programs" in Windows 7. It's "Programs and
Features" (without the quotes).

Second, as I stated, both the OS and install of Office were fresh installs
and there was no trial version installed. Now, when you say "kosher
version",
are you suggesting that the TechNet version of Office is not "kosher" and
that's my problem???

Last: I've this same problem with another computer other than this one.
Office 2007 Ultimate (all other versoins work) will not install on Windows
7.

I was told that posting here for TechNet subscribers would get priority
and
good support. Clearly I was mislead. No need to post a reply as I can see
that I'm on my own with this problem and, as usual, Microsoft is not going
to
be of any help.

You are totally correct when you say that LD55ZRA is under the influence.
His information is very commonly incorrect and also he likes to tell people
to steal from Microsoft by using hacked programs.

As to your issue, I really wish I could help you but can't. Your last line
of the post above is not really true. You have posted to a newsgroup on
usenet via a web interface. It is not a forum. There are no Microsoft
employees paid to be on this site. How you got here I don't know. As you
are a TechNet subscriber there should be specific instructions through your
subscription to help you get assistance. Again, since I am not a TechNet
subscriber I can't help there either. Please go back to the documentation
you received with your subscription for the actual links to the appropriate
web site for assistance.

Now, since I have said that I can't help you, have you tried installing the
suite in compatibility mode? Some of the references I have found indicate
that this may work for you. Another location said to ensure that you run as
Administrator and another site said to ensure that the Administrator account
actually has a password. I don't know if any of these solutions will work
for you but they, at least, are free to try.
