Default Importing pictures from file into publisher 2000

Do you have a viewer for FlashPix? This is an older Kodak format. Many times
when Publisher cannot insert a picture is because there is no viewer available
to open the image. There are .mix files that will not insert into Publisher.

Download www.irfanview.com , it is free. You must also download the plug-ins,
FlashPix is a plug-in.

There is no guarantee you will be able to import the images in any event. You
might re-install the fpx filter, there is a chance it has become corrupted. The
graphic filters are in a folder similar to this:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Grphflt
Rename fpx32.flt to fpx32.old. Drag a new instance from your setup disk.

Have recently encountered a problem importing pictures and sometimes clip
art from file into a publisher document it appears to go through the loading
process then leaves an error message saying THIS FILE IS NOT RECOGNISED AS
A FLASHPIX FILE,OR IT IS ALREADY IN USE. This has become a puzzle as some
older file images seem to import ok. Can anyone help please.
