Default minimum row height in table

Select the entire table, reduce the line spacing from 1.0 to .75. That will
reduce the height of the table, or give you the ability to reduce the height
by about 25%. You should still be able to view all the contents of the
cells without things getting cut off at the top or bottom. I don't know how
much room you need, but if .75 is too much, you could try .8, .85, .9, and
see how it goes.

I have been unable to reduce the size of a table to fit the required area
without removing rows. It appears that there may be a minimum row height
which prevents me achieving my objective. I have tried removing the top
and bottom margins in Cell Properties and reducing the font size but
without success.
Any suggestions ?
