Default automatic dailing -outlook 2007 - using a voice over IP line

Outlook is capable of dialing on a VoIP modem too, if the modem company
wrote a drive that allows Outlook to use it.

Am I to assume Outlook 2007 is capable of dialing a contact directly using
a
modem attached to a regular phone line, but the function becomes useless
with
a VOIP digital system. VOIP seems much more capable of integration with
Outlook than the old modem-phone system. Please advise.

Not at Outlook question. Outlook does not dial. That is the
responsibility
of the OS dialer, none of which support digital lines that I know of.

I am trying to see if I can use the automatic dialing feature on Outlook
2007
with a voice over IP line versus a regular phone line. Does anyone
know
how
to do that? thank you!
