Default "Lost" Word docs

Oh, no. I fell for it for a couple of years. I have been campaigning for
them to change it for ten years.

I do not know why they won't change it :-)

What they have doesn't work, it's useless. What they used to have worked
perfectly: it was what we wanted!

Mind you, it's not the reason you lost your documents. The reason you lost
your documents is because YOU didn't save them. Which, unfortunately, is
necessary under the new rules.

Cheers

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!
To think for years I have been relying on this - to no avail.
Ignorance is NOT (now) bliss!!!
Why don't Microsoft make this clearer?

There is no "autosave" in Word. See

I have recently lost some Word docs, despite having autosave set to 1
minute.
Journal was switched off, so no joy there.
Any ideas?!
Thanks a million.
