We are running Exchange Server 2003 in Cached Exchange Mode with
Outlook 2003. A little scenario: Imagine that we have a user named
Jane Doe-Williams. Her exchange alias is JDoe-Williams. A user
receives an email from Jane Doe-Williams. The user sends a new email
to Jane Doe-Williams by creating a new email and typing "W" in the To
field. Why in the world does her name show up as "Doe-Williams, Jane
ADOE" instead of "Doe-Williams, Jane JDoe-Williams" ?

That list of names you see popping up as you type a name into the To box is
coming from the Nickname, or autocompletion, cache and it has nothing to do
with the Contacts folder, the GAL, or AD. It's there because the user tried
to send a message to that address in the past. To delete it, use the arrow
keys to highlight the bad name and press Delete. If it's the only one, see
