And after using the kb article, in Peter's post, you will have to reinstall
your purchased version

I installed the Trial version of Microsoft Office Professional 2007 and a
few
weeks later purchased Microsoft Office Home and Student. I wish to
uninstall
the Office Professional trial version but I keep getting an error message
with the Add/Remove method that says the installation has been corrupted
and
it will not let me uninstall the program.

How do unistall pro, without having to unistall my msop 2007?

You have to uninstall any trial prior to installing any other paid for
version
Uninstall *all* versions of Office shown in Add/Remove
Then use this kb article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us
Once done clear temp files (disk Cleanup) reboot the PC, then install your
paid for version
