Default Where to download Chinese IME for MS Office 2003?

Hi Mapcu,

It's been awhile since I worked with this, but if I recall correctly, the MS Office 2003 Help files have you sort of searching for a
download that isn't there as a download.

MS Office 2003 uses/piggybacks on the Windows 'Input Method Editors' (IMEs) that may not have been installed on your computer (see
links below)
together with optional install Office 2003 features
'International Support' (for fonts that support Chinese)
and 'Alternative Input' (for access to the tools)
that can be setup through the Microsoft Office Choice in Add/Remove Programs, Advanced Features choice, in the Windows control panel
and then activated through the use of the Office Lanugage settings tool via

Start=Programs=Microsoft Office 2003=Microsoft Office Tools
and also checking in the Windows Control Panel for Text Services to be sure that the Language Bar has been turned on.

That being said, there have been several updates and hotfixes to the IMEs related to Office 2003 and the 'Microsoft Office IME 2003'
from http:microsoft.com/downloads includes the ChangJie (Traditional) chinese update from 2004 that may then need to be downloaded.

You may want to followup in the Word International Features discussion group using the link below.
