Lee, are you talking about Microsoft PhotoDraw? (which uses *.mix files)? If
so, you need to continue to use Microsoft PhotoDraw to edit these photos.
Publisher is not a photo editing program. I recommend letting the IT
department know that you still need your drawing program installed as well.

However, you can insert mix files into Publisher, but you really can't edit
them (less some basic coloring, etc.)
