The Outlook Address Book is just a view of your contacts. It has worked the
same in all versions of Outlook, and still does. You just haven't configured
yours yet:

Those earlier versions of Outlook used an Address Book, and even though
several posts I've read suggest Outlook2003 does NOT have an Address Book,

Email toolbar, which, until last week (even in OL2003) STILL brought up

Address Book, which was sometimes useful for quickly looking up a contact
whilst composing an email.

After I restored my .pst file to a new installation of Outlook 2003 on a

laptop last week, I had an occasional error message pop up telling me the
'Address Book cannot be found etc etc'. That's gone away now (sorry, I
can't
remember what changed in the meantime) but if I click on the Address Book
icon on the Email Toolbar I get a 'Select Names' box, (without any names
or
Address Books to choose from). There is also still an Address Book icon
on
the Contacts form (Detailed , at the right hand end of the Email
field/box.

1 Are the icons throwbacks to the older versions of Outlook?
2 Why did the Address Book function still work in Outlook 2003 on my old
laptop but not the new, the Outlook version (2003) and the pst file
haven't
changed.
