i open outlook, then go to my contacts. in contacts, i go file, new, folder,
name it and it appears in the list. I change the properties of the folder so
that it is treated as an Outlook Address Book. I add contacts to it. All is
well for a long time. Now, I browse to that folder, and the contacts within
it are gone. can you help figure out where they went? Using Outlook 2003 on
an Exchange/Windows SErver 2003 platform.

i am confused - it clearly states in the properties of this "address list or
whatever you call it" - there is a tab for Outlook Address Book and the check
box says treat this folder as an OUtlook Address Book - how can you not know
this term? i can't describe it any better than that

I too am having a similar problem: In Outlook 2003 there are several
Outlook
Address Books with contacts in each book.

Again we don't know what you mean by "address books" - the only "Address
Book" Outlook uses is a special view of the Contacts folder used for
inserting email addresses into a new email...
