Default Outlook 2007 Contacts no longer "searchable" need help reindex

OK, I found it. I've reindexed several times, and selected everything to
modify. It takes a long time. And it still doesn't work!

Maybe I should just export everything to a pst file, uninstall / reinstall
Outlook 2007, and reimport everything. Do you think this would work?

I've tried exporting only my contacts to a pst, deleting them all in
Outlook, closing and re-starting Outlook and re-importing, then reindexing.
It didn't work, either...

I have only about 750 contacts or so, but it's really frustrating not to be
able to search them!

Thanks!

you need to trigger it from Windows Desktop Search - there should be an icon
in your toolbar to do this.

My contacts in Outlook 2007 are no longer "searchable".

when in the Contacts screen, there is a dialog box with Search Contacts,
which has been working just fine.

For some reason, it cannot find any names at all... I've tried switching
back & forth between "Search in current category" to "Search in All
Categories", and it makes no difference. I've looked at the indexing
status
that says indexing is complete.

Can anyone tell me how to trigger a "re-index" or does anyone have any
other
ideas?

Thanks!
