You can't. Each Contact was created in a different version of Outlook.
DL's barely work with Contacts from the same version. They never work with
Contacts from different versions.

In one of our user's distribution lists, it contains two kinds of
contacts, based on the icons in the attached picture. If the email
address is changed in the "new" type of contact, updating a distribution
list will update the contact information, but not for the "old" style.
