None that I know of.
Depending on how many Contacts are involved, you'd be better off recreating
those Contacts with the green in their icons. They were created in an
outdated and simplified version of Outlook 2000 that did not support full
Outlook features and relied on the Windows Address Book. That's why they
don't work any more.

Is there a utility which can do this?

You can't. Each Contact was created in a different version of Outlook.
DL's barely work with Contacts from the same version. They never work
with Contacts from different versions.

In one of our user's distribution lists, it contains two kinds of
contacts, based on the icons in the attached picture. If the email
address is changed in the "new" type of contact, updating a distribution
list will update the contact information, but not for the "old" style.

Can anyone tell me how I can make all of the contacts consistent?
