He has not told me that he sees "Ctrl+click to follow link" message. Is it a pop-up, or does it show up in the lower left corner of the window?

But, even if he doesn't see the "Ctrl+click to follow link" message, if he holds the ctrl button down when he clicks where the link should be, the link will work?
