Default outlook 2007 will not open after upgrading to windows 2007

As Kathleen says, the *correct* command line is:

outlook.exe /resetnavpane

(note where those spaces are!

Duncan.

In article ,
says...

Clicked on "flying Windows" icon where Start button used to be.

Typed: Outlook.exe/ resetnavpane

I have been working on this for 6 hours. Am soooo frustrated.

Thanks for any assistance you can give.

exactly what did you type to reset the navpane? The error suggests a syntax
or spelling error.

Running Win7 and Office Pro 2007 since published last year. Booted up this
morning; check email; no problems. Installed update KB981793 and KB982632,
rebooted and receiving these messages: Cannot Open the Outlook Window and
"Cannot Start Microsoft Outlook." Tried changing switch to resetnavpane --
"Not valid. Verify Switch."

Really need some help. On deadline for client. Thanks.

Can you be a little more specific about what EXACTLY the error message

says?

Does this happen even if you start Outlook in Safe Mode? (hold down CTRL
while you click the icon) See if this helps:

Have you tried starting Outlook with the /resetnavpane switch? See if

this
helps - http://www.officeforlawyers.com/outlook/tsol.htm#cls
