Default Email can't find contacts

Hi, Thanks for the suggestion. I followed your steps and found the boxes
but they were already checked.

Anybody else have any suggestions?

I dont' know if there's an advantage to Win 03 on a laptop except for
portability. I travel all over South Florida and needed to be able to take
my work with me. The migration from the old platform to the new has been
most enervating. I'm glad this worked for you.

Thanks again,
Davidon

After years of coping with this baneful problem, ready to beg for
someone to fix this problem for me, I struck gold! I poked around one
last time before seconding this request, and found the solution.

Select the properties on the contact folder in question. (Find the
folder list and right click for properties.)

Select the ' Outlook Address Book ' tab.
Check off the ' Show this folder as an e-mail address book'.

The next time you start a blank emai, you'll have a populated list of
emails.

If you have more than one contact folder like myself, you can check all
of them off by repeating the same steps.

Cheers!

PS: what is your advantage to having Win 03 on a laptop?

I moved my PST file from Windows 2000 on a desktop to Windows 2003 on a
laptop. I am able to see the records in the contact file but when I address
an email message, the system can't find the contacts. If I hit the "To:"
link it goes to an empty file.
