Default How do I send a distribution list by email?

Sorry, to my knowledge I am doing it according to all of the instructions, as
follows:

Open a new message in rich text format.
Address it.
Click the down arrow next to the paper clip and select Item.
Select the distribution list,
Send the message and ask the user to drag and drop it to their Contacts.

I've tried this with two individuals outside my institution and both have
told me all they can see is my contact information.

Thanks.

"Isn't working" provides no information. State precisely what you are doing,
where the DL resides, and what happens.

This isn't working for me using Outlook 2003. I have made sure I am using
Rich Text Format. I am using the drop down arrow to select Item next to
the
paperclip. What can I be doing wrong or what setting can I change? This
is
very frustrating. Thanks.

Use the Insert Item command.
It's there.
You did not specify your Outlook version or editor, so I can't tell you
where.
Did you look beside the attachment icon? (it looks like a paper clip).

I just tried to retrieve this DL from the computer I had sent it to. No
attachments arrived with the email.

I want to send a distribution list to another email address using
Outlook. The online help suggests going to insert/item. My drop
down
under insert has no item option.

Create a new message in Rich Text format and drag the DL to it as an
attachment.
