Default test fax

Well, if it works for you then count your blessings. There were tons of
problems with WinFax SE, so many that MS discontinued it almost immediately.
You may be the only person around who is still using WinFax SE and is happy.

Hi Ken, I think the only problem with WinFax SE is the system requirement,
due to WinFax SE loading automatically, was understated. When I close the
process, my system needs to reload WinFax SE at the same time, while
preparing the fax for transmission, and that overloads the system. Keep
in
mind, that at the time, WinFax SE first came out, a system like mine, NT4
SP6a, dual P166, 192 MB of RAM, was not necessarily capable of providing
all
of the system resources necessary to use WinFax SE with other apps already
open, ie. Outlook and IE and a number of applets which make computer
networking so much easier, all at the same time.

I have only 192 MB of RAM, and after I have opened my default apps, which
are open all of the time, I have less than 50 MB of RAM remaining. Too
bad
WinFax SE does not interact as a printer fax function, or interact with
the
same resources as a printer fax function. I think WinFax SE only needed
more
RAM or less demand on RAM.
