Default Address Book will not come up using Fax Wizard

The messages you are getting simply indicate that you have not yet
configured your Outlook Address Book, so Windows XP Fax can't find any
records. Since I suspect you have not made any entries into your Outlook
Contacts, we can address that later.

Go to Control Panel Internet Options Programs... Change your Contact
list manager to the Windows Address Book instead of Outlook and see if you
get your fax Contacts back in the Fax Wizard.

Whenever you install Outlook, Windows XP Fax switches from using the

Windows
Address Book to the Outlook Address Book.
So should you, it appears.

Yes, I want to do the normal procedure. But when I was going through the

Send
Fax Wizard and clicked on Address Book, I get a window saying "The address

book
cannot be displayed ... , etc." Then I click OK, and the Address Book

window
opens anyway. At the top it says "Show Names from the" and I can choose

Outlook
Address Book or Contacts. If I choose Contacts and click on New, I get the
error message as above: "The address book cannot be displayed ... etc." If

I
choose Outlook Address Book and click on New, the New Entry window opens.

No
matter what choices I make there, I get the error message: "A new entry

could
not be added. Please use the contacts module to create this entry."

What happens if you reset your OS to use the Windows Address Book?

How is that done?

Thank you for your answers, and let me know if you want me to Post to

Newsgroup
AND send via e-mail to you as we are going through this problem. Thanks

much
for your help.
