This is where I may be confused. I have Windows home XP but I have Office
Proffesional 2003. I am not fimiliar with "This patch pack could not be
opened." I could have previously gotten that error before I attempted to
re-install office professional 2003 back onto my computer (I did not write
that down.) However, the message that keeps popping up when I try to attempt
to re-install the entire Office proffesional 2003 program back onto my
computer is "Fatal error during installment." On the pop up box there is only
a place for me to click "OK" which closes the box and ceases any attempt to
continue installation of office . After my attempt to re-install my computer
"seemingly" has office but most of the programs do not work properly. Thanks
for your response any further help will be appreciated.

program using the wizard but I began getting various errors. I then tried to
completley remove the Microsoft 2003 proffesional program from my computer
(seemingly succesful) I then re-installed the program (using the CD I
purchased) but this is where the 'Fatal error" occured during installation. I
click "OK" on the box that arrises with the "Fatal error occured during
installment" comment and this ceases the download. I do not know what to do.
