Default Unable to have multiple useres share database concurrently

CDS,

Sounds like a folder permissions issue, what are the settings on the folder?

As a side note, it sounds like all the users are sharing an unsplit
database. This is bound to cause problems, the more serious being that of
corruption. You should consider splitting, NOW, before it's too late. Here
are some links to assist...

The database is locking out other users. Once the database is closed then
another user can access it.

This was created in Access 2007 as a 2003 format and is operating on an
Access 2003 system. It is on a shared drive on a server and is the only
file
on this drive and all users have access.

Some of the settings are listed below.

Settings/Advanced:
Default open mode: Shared
Default record locking: No locks
Open databases by using record-level locking: Checked

If it is not a setting could you advise as to where the problem might be.

Thank you for any assistance,
CDS
