It seems you've found your answer, but my suggestion would have been to
check the width of the table. It's usually helpful to insert the table after
creating the snaking columns, since any new table is inserted at 100% of the
column width. For an existing table, you can make sure that auto resizing is
disabled, then set the table width to 100% (to ensure that it is all
visible) as a starting point for adjusting the column widths.
