Default Access Viewer

Sounds interesting!

The ability to "automate" the various Office applications, is one of
Microsoft's primary achievements, from a software viewpoint, IMO. When I
started in computing maaaany years ago, there was no way that seperate
programs could communicate, except by flat-file import/export. Now, your
Access application can run the other Office applications automatically -
even "behind the scenes" (with no user interface) - to do whatever they need
to do.

All good stuff!

Cheers,
TC

Might be a nice little app: Access to Word or Powerpoint!

I've tested the concept of working between Access and Word before, to

print
specific groups of inspection forms created in and stored in Word, which

are
called from a filter or control form within Access. It does work well.

Dirk
Goldgar created the exact function to do this for me some time ago, which

we
will build into a new app. I am currently working on.

I've worked on a joint project between Access and PowerPoint, but, only

for
a one shot event. I am also now working on a project for PowerPoint
maintenance training projects, including animated digital photos and data
controlled in Access. It's fun stuff. ;=)

Hi Lynn :-)

Hi Jan! :-)

Well...as I don't have the Developer's Edition, I won't be able

to
create
a
runtime version. And...guess that s'plains why I couldn't find
anything
on it....??? :=)

Yeah, that would kind of splain it...LOL. TC's suggestion to put

some
screen
shots in Power Point might work well. I would prefer to put them

in
Word,
though, because it's a little more flexible AND you can print it

out
as
a
training document later on.

Yes, Word may offer a bit more flexibility, as you say. I may want

to
add
some other informationl. I'm also thinking that once setup in Word,

I
could
then take some of them into PowerPoint to insert perhaps arrows

and/or
call-outs that would also be animated for specific emphasis as well.

I hope something like that will help you do what you need to do.

Thank you very much for your time and help, I truly appreciate it.

I'll
give them a go and see where I get......besides in trouble. ;=))
