Default Copy/Paste Formula-dropping 1st cell address

you should use $ to fix the column and row reference

try to use

=Sum(D$3$8)/Sum(C$3:C$8) it will fix the row number when copy up ordown;

=Sum($D3:$D8)/Sum($C3:$C8) it will fix the column leter when copy left or
right

=Sum($D$3:$D$8)/Sum($C$3:$C$8) = it will fix colum and rows copying for any
direction

Formula is =Sum(D38)/Sum(C3:C8)

Steps: Copy Formula
Paste to cell below

Problem: Formula drops the cell address "C3" and "D3" but properly added
the cell address "C9"and "D9", i.e., when pasted formula looks like this;

=Sum(D49)/Sum(D49)

I've looked under the Excel Options but can not see anything that is causing
this to happen.

Thanks
