Steve,
In powerpoint, both settings of security level and trust all add-ins are under

the tools/macros/security setting which I did both at the same time. So
currently I have security at a low setting, and trust all add-ins checked. Then
when I attempt to install prod2.ppa file, I can highlite the file but when I
click ok, nothing shows up in the add-in dialogue box. Thanks for the support
and replies.

What version of PPT and Windows do you have again?

A couple things to check:

Start PowerPoint, open an existing presentation or start a new one and then
press Alt+F11

Does that put you into the Visual Basic editor? If not, you may not have VBA
installed; it's an option in some PPT versions. Without it, addins can't run
or install.

Try the addin on another computer if possible. You might also want to try
downloading it again, in case the file was corrupted during the download.

Sometimes user profiles can get corrupted and prevent addins from running. You
might try creating a new user on the computer (depending on your Windows
version) and installing the addin while logged in as that user.
