Default Graphing a line, using coordinates points

[This followup was posted to microsoft.public.excel.charting and a copy
was sent to the cited author.]

Put the x values in one column. Put the corresponding y values in an
adjacent column. Select any cell in that range of values in 2 columns,
click the Chart wizard and select a XY Scatter chart type.

Just remember that to plot a straight line, one needs only 2 data
points.

In a two-dimensional graph, how do create a line, using x
and y coordinates?
