Did you copy them to your hard drive from a CD or are you reading them directly
from a CD? Files on CD are always read-only.

If they're on your hard drive, start Windows Explorer, browse to the folder
where the files are stored, select all the files then rightclick and choose
Properties. Remove the black or gray checkmark next to Read only and click OK

Done.
