Default Problem with appointment coloring in Outlook 2007 with CRM 4

Are you sure you meant to post this to a Fax group? Perhaps
Microsoft.public.crm would be a better forum?

Hi,

We use Microsoft Outlook 2007 and Microsoft CRM 4 and, the problem is when
we track an appoinment in CRM, CRM clears all my manual color categories
and
adds the "[CRM] Regarding: ...case..." category...

So is it possible to change the precedence with automatic coloring over
manual coloring (with categories) or is it possible to turn off the CRM
category somehow without affecting CRM's tracking function?

Do the appointments have categories? Even if no color is assigned to a
category, if it has a category automatic formatting won't apply.

In Outlook 2003 I could Label appointments using colors. I have tried
to
use
the automatic formatting in Outlook 2007 but only a few if any of the
appointments will become colored. An example of my usual appointment
has
"1
Smith" in the Subject space. When I do the auto formatting, I click add
and
choose a name and color. I then click condition and in the Appointment
Page
put "Smith" in the Search for the word: field and then choose "Subject
field
only" for the In: Field. The calendar does go back for several years
and
is
updated monthly. There are at least 2 appointments like the above for
each
day. No other times or information is included in the appointment. Am I
missing something or has something changed in 2007. I also removed all
the
colors associated with categories so that would not interfere.
