Windows XP Picture and Fax viewer :
Ii is not possible to create new files.
It is not possible to insert new pages.
It is not possible to insert (import) pages (files) you already have.
It is not possible to edit *.jpg files (text boxes, marker, ...)
It is not possible to import documents via scanning (TWAIN)

Most of these items are possible in MODI, but, as I wrote, MODI can't handle
my existing files
and
it is not possible to convert files from Windows XP Picture and Fax viewer
to MODI. (Strg + E)
The file suffix will not show, wether this is a file editable in MODI, in
Windows XP Picture and Fax viewer or Imaging.
All this together is the point why I wrote 'format confusion': why doesn't
MS make the old files compatible to MODI? I gues for 'political reasons'.
Have a look he
