Default Outlook Birthdays

Having imported contacts from a mobile phone a couple of years ago, Outlook
populated my list with birthdays, and put everyone's birthdays as 01/01/1900.
These recurr every year. It is very annoying as every 1 Jan hundreds of
birthday reminders pop up. Plus, as my calender syncs with my phone, my
phone actually cannot handle that number of reminders on one day and freezes.

I don't need birthday reminders at all, let alone for the wrong date - there
must be a way to just switch these off, remove them completely - surely I
don't have to go through each of my hundreds of contacts individually do I?

Display your calendar in the Recurring Appointments, then add the Reminder
column to the view. Group by that column. You should be able to locate the
birthdays eaily. Select them and drag them to the "Reminder: No" group.
