Default MS Office has not been installed for the current user.

I have installed MS Office Home and Student 2007 that I have purchased. It had been working fine for about 1 month on my Win laptop7 Now I can't open any of my MS Word docs. I get the message MS Office has not been installed for the current user. Can anyone help with a fix?

Did you have an Office 2007 Trial installed before at any time and did you uninstall
it before installing your purchased version of Office 2007 H&S

Yes the win7 laptop does have Office 2007 Trial installed. No I did not uninstall it before putting on my purchased version of Office 2007.

You now will have to uninstall all references for Office including the Trial and
your purchased version of Home and Student including (important) the Activation
Assistant and reboot after. Then re-install your Office 2007 Home and Student
version. That should solve your issue
Use the Tool below if you are not able to uninstall everything through your
Add\Remove

Thanks for the info. What about activation of my purchased version of MS Office Home and Student? Will it go through being that I have already activated this once? Will this wipe out any of my saved word docs that I have already have on this machine?
