I've imported a table with a memo field in which I've
used "QQQ" to signify whare I need line feeds/carriage returns (there are lots, in lots of records!). I can't find how to specify replacing text with an "LF" (ascii 12) or CR (ascii 15) character. Can anyone help ? thanks, Steve Roberts |

1. Create a query into this table.
2. Change it to an Update query: Update on Query menu. Access adds an Update row to the grid. 3. Drag the memo field into the grid. We will call it MyMemo in this example. 4. In the Update row under MyMemo, enter: Replace([MyMemo], "QQQ", Chr(13) & Chr(10)) 5. Run the update query. -- Allen Browne - Microsoft MVP. Perth, Western Australia.
