Default Fax console: Archive folder size limit?

Is there a size limit to the fax consoles inbox and sent items folders?

I have a batch file that runs every night which is designed to copy only the
new faxes from the fax consoles archive folders over my peer to peer network
and on to another hard drive on another computer.

Since the new year the batch file has been prompting me to overwrite
existing files. The only reason that I can think of that the batch file would
see the source faxes as new, is if their archive flags have been reset. I can
think of no reason why their archive flags would be reset, except if there
was something wrong with the fax consoles inbox and sent items folders.

Please advise.

Please advise us as to what fax software you are referring to and its
relation to Outlook.

MS Fax Console. Win XP, Office XP SP3.

Your guess is better than mine as to its relation to Outlook.

Windows XP Fax is a bare bones and largely dysfunctional fax program that
provides no documentation as to the limits of its archive folder. Many users
have reported that its Inbox craps out for no apparent reason. No solutions
appear to be forthcoming. If I were you, I'd reset the archive folder to a
new location periodically to avoid overwhelming it.
