Visio 2007 Install Error
I'm attempting to install Visio 2007 from a CD on a new Dell computer with an
external Media Bay with a CD/DVD in the Media Bay. I'm getting the following error: "Setup cannot find Visio.en-us\VisioLR.cab. Browse to a valid installation source, and then click OK." in a dialogue box with a browse function in it. The folder and the file are on the CD I'm installing from. However, when I click on the folder specified, ...\Visio.en-us, I get a dialogue box saying "Invalid Location." If I uninstall Visio on my old notebook, then reinstall it (old notebook has internal CD/DVD), it works fine and the error doesn't appear. I'm getting a similar error trying to install Office Pro 2007 but on a different .CAB file. MS OneNote and MS Project have installed fine, though. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Ray Stoddard |

Visio 2007 Install Error
It's possible that there is a copy issue with that new drive and the cd.
Try making a copy of the CD contents into a folder on the laptop hard drive, and see if you can install from it. You may have to manually locate and run the "Setup.exe" program.
