Printing Problem? limitation on file size?
I am printing/plotting with an HP 430D plotter.
I have at times been getting thin white lines through the entire document. HP & I have been trying to trouble shoot this for a year. Seems to be communication problem as it happens after a.) the first and main source of the problems: The changing of an empty ink cartridge. b.) The canceling of a print job to the printer, through the cancel button on the plotter, or the PC. Now, all avenues have been exhausted...1 gig of ram in a 2.8 gig machine, 6 foot cable...yada yada yada. We have replace dthe machine finally. but today, i changed the empty ink cartridge an dthe lines are comiong back yet again. I can clear the communication by shutting the pc and the plotter down and rebooting, this now will result in good prints again, but if we cancel or change an ink cartridge....well....lines!...until i reboot. Can this be a Powerpoint issue?? does Powerpoint have limitations on file size? some of my files (.ppt)are upwards of 5 megs. im at a loss. Any ideas? please email me: |

Printing Problem? limitation on file size?
Ed,
My first obvious question is....does it only happen with powerpoint ? Have you tried (in powerpoint) file send to word, then print from MS word....does the problem still exist. Are you using a HP driver or a windows XP driver? It doesn't really sound like a PowerPoint issue. But have you tried printing
similar content from other programs? In article , Ed wrote: I am printing/plotting with an HP 430D plotter. I have at times been getting thin white lines through the entire document.
