Uh, drop down lists *of what*?

I'm quite keen on scuba diving. I could undoubtledly give you drop down
lists of famous dive sites, scuba equipment manufacturers, dive shops
around the world, scuba certifying agencies, steel & aluminium air tank
sizes, and so on. Would those help? :-?

Seriously, no-one knows what you're actually asking. Are "ethnicity",
"states" and "countries" meant as examples of something more general?
If so - what? What do you want some drop down lists *of*?

You say "this type of data".

*WHAT* type of data?

I still don't understand what data you're looking for.

Country flags?
National foods?
State religions?

You'll have to be clearer. At present we don't know what you are trying
to find.

States - NY, NJ, MD, VA, etc
Countruies - United Kingdom, United States, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria,
etc

A simple "go away, we are too advanced to help a novice" would have
sufficed, instead of sarcasm.

When I want lists like that I find them myself. Have you heard of search
engines? Use search terms that describe and are included in the types of
list you're looking for, e.g.

list countries states abbreviations

and pay more attention to lists from official sources such as the UPU
and ISO.

I wonder whether you have considered searching the web using terms

There was nothing in my second post that a reasonable person could take
offence at IMHO.

Let's cut to the chase. You've asked a hopelessly imprecise question.
No-one can possibly answer it, until you explain it more clearly. I've
been trying to tell you this in a light-hearted fashion, instead of
having to speak bluntly, as I am doing now.

That is not *refusing* to help a novice - it is *attempting to do so*.
Sorry that you can not see that.

I have been looking and I have found some good stuff.
I was just inquiring if the "pro's" knew of a site that was dedicated to
suck lists.
Chancer are, someone over the past 20 years created such lists that are
commonly used, adn somehwere along the line, these were centralized in one
location. Or atleast provided links to such resources.
Sory to waiste vluable time.
Would someone be able to point me to more of a beginner newsgroup, I dont
want to waiste the time of such talented MVP's with my novice questions,
besides, I can only handle so much abuse and sarcasm. *Have you ever heard
of Search Engines* - in other words, "this guy is obviously not an MVP, lets
run him through loops, and never answer his question.

Pal, do not try to insult the good folks here, who spend hours of their
own personal time, at no charge to anyone, trying to help people JUST
LIKE YOU.

Unfortunately, some people are U_N_H_E_L_P_A_B_L_E.

You are one of those.
