Default ALTER TABLE ADD COLUMN

I tried to add an AutoNumber column using a Macro, but it did not work. The
SQL I used was:

ALTER TABLE 12 ADD COLUMN ID AutoNumber

Can anybody please help me out?

Try:

ALTER TABLE 12 ADD COLUMN ID COUNTER;
