Failure to install add-on data analysis software
I run windows 98 with MS Office 2000 Professional. I have
the upgrade edition, legally obtined and paid for. I have been successfully running all applications including EXCEL since first installing it. I've just tried to add-in the data analysis tools and get messages saying that installation cannot continue because files are not found (even though I have the 2 CDs in two different drives and can the contents thereof). I then tried to re-install Office (I intended to try and just add the data analysis tools with a custome install). Now I get message saying that the installer cannot find a valid version of the program anywhere on my system. Can anyone help? |

Failure to install add-on data analysis software
Dear GulfJim.
Thanks for your helpful reply. I am so dim that I am ashamed. Instead of loading the Microsoft Office XP CD I had put in (the first of 2!) CDs from Office 2000. Your tip that Office XP is all on one CD set me searching for the right product. Many thanks, Adrian -----Original Message----- What files are not found? Perhaps you can locate them on the CD. BTW, why do you have 2 CD's on two different drives? Excel/Office comes on one CD AFAIK. -- Greetings from the Gulf Coast! "Adrian Hall" wrote in message ...
