RD on typing 'RD' reference is deleted
Hi, Red. Before you start typing field codes, turn on display of hidden
text. The easiest way to do this is to press the ¶ button (Show All) on the Standard toolbar at the top of your screen. Toggle off Show All by pressing the ¶ button again. Red Ogden wrote: I am using Word 2003 and am trying to use RD to create a TOC for multiple docs. My problem is that when I try to type {RD 'file.doc'} s soon as I type the 'D' of RD the curly brackets disappear. i.e. if I type '{ TOC }{RD }' I get '{ TOC }' I am trying to type the equivalent of: { TOC } { RD C:\\Manual\\Chapters\\Chapter1.doc } { RD C:\\Manual\\Chapters\\Chapter2.doc } { RD C:\\Manual\\Chapters\\Chapter3.doc } I would be very grateful if anyone can tell me what is going wrong! Many Thanks Redge. |
