Default 1st time faxer

I am running Windows XP Pro and Outlook 2000.
This is for home use and thus I am the IT world (which is not saying much
-LOL)

I have read that you can send an e-mail message as a fax (that is to a fax
number) as well as to e-mail addresses, either both at the same time or
separately.

I have tried and have not been successful at sending the fax portion.

Is there online help somewhere that I can look at before I bother anyone as
I know there are many details that must be provided and I am not sure I have
them all set.

Not really. Windows XP Fax and Outlook 2000 are years apart and have never
been tested together. If you want to try it, make sure you use only the
Corporate/Workgroup mode of Outlook and add the Fax Mail transport under
Tools Services. Other than that, the information here will apply:
