Default REMOVE OFFICE PRO 2007 FROM BASIC INSTALL

I believe you will continue to get the notice when the Access Trial expires.
There is no provision to "Delete" or "Remove" the Trial version of the
software. Microsoft needs to make a "Removal" utility available.

I am still looking for the fix for this. I even upgraded from basic and
still have the same problem....well as far as I can tell. It is giving me a
30 day trial of Access now, when that is finished we will see what happens.

Anybody ever come up with a solution for this? It appears that Office Small
Business 2007 OEM also is bundled with Office Professional 2007 Trial.

Office Professional 2007 Trial is not listed seperately in "Add And Remove
Programs", so there is no way to remove. If you uninstall and reinstall
Office 2007 there is no option not to install the Trial Version.

Access is the only difference between Small Business and Professional 2007.
Even if you select "Unavailable" for Access during install, the Trial files
seem to be installed anyway. No matter what you try you will continue to get
the "Your Trial Period Of Office Pro Has Expired" popup. Pretty annoying.

MS Office Online Support was not able to resolve this. After many attempts
of uninstall/reinstall, registery cleaning or using the MS Software Removal
Tool, the Expired popup continues.

The only option on the popup is to purchase, ther is no option for cancel or
remove. I don't believe Microsoft really intended for this to happen.

What is needed is a utility to remove the "Trial" version.

I purchased office 2007 OEM with my new system. It came with a trial version
of Office Pro and that has now expired. For some reason this has locked up
my picture manager and I can't use it anymore, it just comes up with the
activation wizard and wants me to buy the professional version. Now from
what I have heard, picture manager should come with all office suits
including basic. How on earth can I fix this so that picture manager works
once again? I can’t find away to uninstall the trail version of professional
from my basic install and I have no idea how else to stop the activation
wizard from popping up all the time except to buy it. Any help would be
awesome!

I also have same problem. Purchased Office SBE 2007. Now, everytime I open
Picture Manager an Activation Wizard window tells me that my trial version of
Access has expired and I can not edit my photos.

I have 3 questions:

1 - How do you fix this?

2 - Do you think anyone from Microsoft looks at these boards to help?

3 - Isn't it ironic that the "trial version" expires and causes trouble
right after your free software support expires?

I've already had to re-install Office once after my email spell check
dictionary was changed to French. Then I found out that MS has known about
this issue for months and still hasn't fixed it...still selling a defective
product...now it has a ticking time bomb in it!

I wish I bought an older version...if only I could get my money back!

You don't really think anyone pays any attention to that, do you? ;-)

No - I'm just blowing off some steam...one man's expression of frustration
with the level of "service" provided by large software companies (McAfee is
another!) Whoever came up with this model for customer support/technical
assistance is an uneducated, inexperienced boob.

Do you think Microsoft would notice if I sold my stock in protest?

***UPDATE***

Please do not send an email to the technician listed in my previous
email...he is being deluged with requests and MS is missing the vital step of
collecting some basic data from you.

Please call 800-936-5700 and ask for the PowerPoint Support Team after your
case has been created.

Thanks.

Hooray !!! Microsoft has finally fixed this problem.

They have created a workaround which requires you to overwrite two of the
Office 2007 files with a new file.

You can get the new file and instructions via email from:
